Most hotels in Antalya are outside the city centre, spread along the shore from Lara to Kundu and from Belek to Kemer, while historic Kaleiçi, the waterfalls and the ancient cities lie in different directions from one another. With a car of your own you can see the Düden Waterfall in the morning and swim at Konyaaltı in the afternoon, then head to Aspendos or to the coves of Kemer the next day without depending on bus timetables. A single online booking covers your Antalya rent a car needs, and you collect the car at the airport. Antalya Car Rental: Where Is the Pick-Up Point?

In the online booking form, the pick-up point listed for Antalya is Antalya Airport (AYT). The airport is on the eastern side of the city, close to the Lara and Kundu hotel area; you are met at the terminal exit according to your landing time and receive the paperwork and the keys there. Where to Stay in Antalya: Districts and Holiday Areas

The city centre of Antalya and the holiday resorts lined up along the coast offer very different experiences: history and city life are concentrated in the centre, long beaches and large hotels to the east and west. The areas below are a sightseeing guide only; driving times change with the season and traffic, so check the current route in your map app.

1. Kaleiçi and the city centre: The historic bazaar entered through Hadrian's Gate, the Fluted Minaret, Hıdırlık Tower and the old harbour at the foot of the cliffs; to explore the narrow stone lanes on foot, leave the car in one of the paid car parks around the city walls.
2. Lara: The long beach and hotel avenue east of the city; the Lower Düden Waterfall, where the Düden stream pours from the cliffs into the sea, is also on this shore. Guests staying in Lara also enjoy being close to the airport on their return day.
3. Kundu and Aksu: The continuation of Lara, a strip of coast lined with large holiday resorts; inland lie the ancient city of Perge and the orchards of Aksu.
4. Konyaaltı: West of the city, a pebble beach with views of the Beydağları mountains, a seaside park and the Antalya Museum; the cable car up Tünektepe and the banks of the Boğaçay are popular for evening walks.
5. Kemer and around: Beldibi, Göynük, Kiriş, Çamyuva and Tekirova along the coast road heading west; bays where pine forests reach down to the sea, a marina and the cable car up Mount Tahtalı.
6. Belek: A shore in the Serik district known for its golf courses and spacious hotel gardens; the Aspendos theatre and the Köprüçay valley are easy to visit from Belek.
7. Side and Manavgat: The Side peninsula with its ancient harbour, Temple of Apollo and theatre, plus the waterfall and boat trips of the Manavgat River; to explore the old town of Side on foot, it is easiest to leave the car in one of the car parks at the entrance.
8. Alanya: The large holiday town of the eastern coast; with Alanya Castle on its rocky peninsula, the Red Tower, Damlataş Cave and Cleopatra Beach it is worth a stay of several days.

Driving in Antalya: Coast Road, City Traffic and Parking

Practical points that will help you as you drive between the city centre, the hotel areas and the mountain roads:

1. Coast road: The road west to Kemer runs in places along the foot of the mountains and through tunnels, so do not overtake on winding sections; to the east, the road towards Belek, Side and Alanya is flatter but gets crowded in the summer months.
2. City traffic: In the centre, watch the junction lights and the rails on the streets the tram line runs along; in the late afternoon traffic slows down towards Lara and Konyaaltı.
3. Parking: The inside of Kaleiçi is narrow and suited to walking; the paid car parks around the city walls and your hotel's car park are the most practical options.
4. Mountain roads: The roads to Termessos, Köprülü Canyon or the highland villages are steep and winding; use a low gear when going downhill, and when the seasons change check the weather and road conditions before setting off.
5. Kilometres and fuel: The car card shows the total kilometre allowance set according to the rental period and a "Fair Fuel Policy" note; look at these two lines before heading to distant places such as Alanya or Kaş.
6. Return day: On the day you return the car at the airport, allow for the road that gets busy in summer with shuttle vehicles leaving the hotel areas and for the security check at the terminal entrance; set the fuel level according to the policy on the card.

Day Trips from Antalya: Ancient Cities, Waterfalls and Canyons

The area around Antalya is full of ancient theatres, cities built on mountain tops and cool canyons, all within a few hours' drive. Some routes take half a day, others a long day with an early start; check distance and driving time in your map app before you set off.

• Perge and Aspendos: The colonnaded street and stadium of Perge in Aksu and the Roman theatre of Aspendos in Serik, whose stage building still stands, can be visited on the same day.
• Termessos: An ancient city built in pine forest on the slope of Mount Güllük; as it requires a walk along a path after the car park, bring comfortable shoes.
• Düden and Kurşunlu waterfalls: Two waterfalls very close to the city; the cave walkway of Upper Düden and the shady park of Kurşunlu offer a cool break on hot days.
• Köprülü Canyon: The national park north of Manavgat; with its Roman bridge, the rafting river Köprüçay and mountain villages, it makes a good day out for those staying in Side or Belek.
• Phaselis, Olympos and Çıralı: South of Kemer, the ancient city of Phaselis with its three harbours, the ruins of Olympos in the forest, and Yanartaş, where flames rise from the rocks once darkness falls.
• Demre and Kekova: After the rock tombs of Myra and the Church of St Nicholas, you can take a boat from Üçağız out to the waters of Kekova with its sunken city remains.
• Kaş and Kalkan: Two small towns on the Lycian coast known for their white houses and diving spots; Kaputaş Beach between them is reached by steps from the roadside. They are more comfortable to explore with an overnight stay.

This table shows the 20–27 October 2026 search we made in our booking system on 13 October 2026 with pick-up and return at Antalya Airport (AYT); the search we repeated for 3–10 November 2026 listed the same 19 cars. Automatic cars come first, followed by manual cars, each in order of class.

The minimum age and years of licence depend on the car: some cars can be rented at 21 with a licence held for 2 years; in the upper segment the requirement rises to 25–27 years of age and 5–7 years of licence. The requirement for the car you choose is shown on its car card on the booking screen.

On the cards every model is listed with the words "or similar"; the model handed over depends on availability on the dates you choose. For your own dates you will see the current list, prices and requirements in the search form at the top of the page.

Cars that stand out in the search, depending on the kind of trip you are planning in Antalya:

• City driving, around Kaleiçi and the hotel areas, automatic: Opel Corsa, Renault Clio, Citroen C3 and Renault Taliant — Economy; the lowest requirement in this group is age 21 with a licence held for 3 years
• Long coast road: Kemer, Side, Alanya: Renault Megane, Toyota Corolla and Peugeot 2008 — Intermediate; the lowest requirement in this group is age 25 with a licence held for 5 years
• Mountain roads, canyons and plenty of luggage: Hyundai Bayon, Dacia Duster, Peugeot 3008, Hyundai Tucson and Peugeot 5008 — SUV; the lowest requirement in this group is age 21 with a licence held for 3 years

Long Holidays, Spending the Winter in Antalya and Special Occasions

A stay in Antalya is often longer than a few days: family holidays in summer, people staying for long periods in the mild winter weather and golfers use the car for weeks. The longer the rental, the different the rate: rentals of 8–29 days are charged at the weekly rate, and 30 days or more at the monthly rate. Details are on our monthly car rental page.

Because demand rises in the hotel areas between June and September, searching as soon as your dates are confirmed makes it easier to find the group you want; for a group you do not see in the list, consult our customer service.

Payment in Antalya, Renting Without a Credit Card and Deposit

In an online booking the payment methods are shown on the card of the car you select; you tick the option that suits you before moving on to the confirmation step.

If you want to rent without using a credit card, or to pay when you collect the car, set up your booking with our customer service via WhatsApp or phone; payment can be arranged by bank transfer, EFT, cash, Wise or Revolut. A deposit is taken at handover and returned upon return of the vehicle.

Returning Elsewhere: From Antalya to Another City

You can choose the return point in the booking form separately from the pick-up point. If you are heading west along the Lycian coast, Muğla Dalaman Airport is among the options in the form, and if you are continuing east beyond Alanya, Mersin Çukurova Airport; more distant points such as İzmir, Istanbul and Ankara are also in the list.

Car Rental Requirements and Documents in Antalya

Required documents: Your valid driving licence together with your identity card or passport.

Licence from abroad: A national licence issued in Latin letters or an international driving permit is accepted.

Age and years of licence: Varies by car; shown in the last column of the table and on the booking card.

Young driver: For drivers aged 21–25, contact our customer service by WhatsApp or phone for the young driver conditions and fee.

What is included: The "Services Included in the Price" list on the search cards shows free delivery, a clean car, a fair fuel policy, VAT and free roadside assistance.

Insurance and kilometre allowance: Insurance cover, the excess amount and the kilometre allowance differ by car; ask our customer service for information before booking.

Date changes and extensions: Send your request for a new date, time, return point or an extension by WhatsApp or phone; availability and price for the new dates are checked together.
