For Gaziantep airport car rental, the point you select in the form is Gaziantep Airport (GZT). Also known locally as Oğuzeli Airport, GZT lies within the Oğuzeli district; we have no separate handover point in the city centre or at hotels. A short summary of the point is on our GZT pick-up point page; these are the steps for collecting the car at the airport:

1. In the pick-up list of the form, tick Gaziantep Airport (GZT), then enter the pick-up and return dates and times; the form has no separate option for the city centre.
2. Compare the cards on the results page: each card shows the car's driver age and licence-year requirement, the total mileage allowance for the rental period, the deposit and the services included in the price separately.
3. In the online payment step the option appears as "Pay Now". If you want to pay without a credit card or when you pick up the car, create the booking with our customer service via WhatsApp or phone.
4. Send your flight code and expected landing time to our customer service; the meet-and-greet time is arranged according to this information. If your landing is delayed, share the new time on WhatsApp.
5. After the baggage belt you meet our representative at the terminal exit; the handover is completed with your driving licence and your ID card or passport.
6. You note the existing damage record, the fuel gauge and the mileage together with our representative and set off; on return the same check is made at GZT.

Once you have collected the car at the airport you drive yourself to the historic bazaars in the city centre, to hotels in Şahinbey and Şehitkamil or straight towards the Euphrates; check the current road conditions in your map app before you set off.

Cars Bookable Online from GZT: Sorted by Luggage Space

The table was prepared from the cards in the search for 13–20 October 2026 that was run in our booking system on 30 September 2026 with pick-up and return at Gaziantep Airport. A repeat search on the same day and a search for 1–8 November 2026 also showed the same 19 cars. For those planning long drives, the cars are listed from the largest luggage capacity to the smallest.

The minimum age and years of licence depend on the car: some cars can be rented at 21 with a licence held for 2 years; in the upper segment the requirement rises to 25–27 years of age and 5–7 years of licence. The requirement for the car you choose is shown on its car card on the booking screen.

Places to Drive to in and around Gaziantep

The list below is meant to help you find your way; we do not give distances or times, because driving time changes with the route, the season and the traffic. Check your route in your map app before you set off, and confirm the opening hours of museums and archaeological sites with the institution in charge.

1. Historic bazaars: the Coppersmiths' Bazaar, Zincirli Bedesten and Almacı Pazarı reflect the city's old trading fabric with copperwork, spices and dried nuts. Because the bazaar streets are narrow, it is easier to leave the car in one of the car parks nearby and walk.
2. Zeugma Mosaic Museum: the mosaics recovered from the ancient city of Zeugma on the Euphrates, the best known of them being the Gypsy Girl, are displayed in this museum in the city.
3. Emine Göğüş Culinary Museum and Tahmis Coffee House: the museum explaining the traditions of Antep cuisine and the historic coffee house known for its menengiç coffee round off a gastronomy tour.
4. Rumkale and Halfeti: Rumkale on the Euphrates lies within the Yavuzeli district of Gaziantep; most visitors see the fortress on boat trips departing from Halfeti, which belongs to Şanlıurfa. Halfeti is known for its old settlement submerged by the dam waters and for its black rose.
5. Birecik: a district on the way to Halfeti, known for its bridge over the Euphrates and for the breeding station where bald ibises are protected.
6. Yesemek Open-Air Museum: in the İslahiye district, a Hittite-era quarry and sculpture workshop; unfinished lion and sphinx sculptures lie scattered across the hillside.
7. Şanlıurfa: Balıklıgöl with the historic bazaar around it and Göbeklitepe, on the UNESCO World Heritage List, are among the first stops people visit from Gaziantep on a day trip or with an overnight stay. The form has no separate point for Şanlıurfa; on the way back you leave the car at GZT or at another point in the form.
8. Mount Nemrut in Adıyaman and Mardin: two routes often added by those planning longer drives; both suit a trip of several days. Keep in mind that access to the Nemrut summit road can be restricted depending on the season, and check the current situation before you set off.

Driving in Gaziantep: Around the Bazaars, Summer Heat and Long Drives

The streets around the historic bazaars and the castle are narrow and busy at weekends. If you are planning a food and shopping outing, leaving the car in one of the car parks nearby saves time.

Summers in the region are hot; setting off early in the morning or in the late afternoon instead of at midday makes routes such as Şanlıurfa and Halfeti more comfortable. Do not forget to take water with you on long drives.

For long routes such as Rumkale, Nemrut or Mardin, a car with a large boot makes things easier; the GZT search listed Hyundai Bayon, Dacia Duster, Peugeot 3008, Hyundai Tucson and Peugeot 5008 in the SUV class. Paying for Gaziantep Car Rental: Also Possible Without a Credit Card

For bookings made on the website, the payment option is shown on screen; in the GZT search of 30 September 2026 this option was "Pay Now" for all 19 cars.

Ending the Journey in Çukurova or Diyarbakır: Returning at Another Point

If you will end your trip in the south-east or on the Mediterranean side, you can collect the car at GZT and return it at the Mersin Çukurova Airport (COV) or Diyarbakır Airport (DIY) point in the form, or at another point in the form if you prefer. The form has no separate point for Şanlıurfa, Mardin or Adıyaman.

What You Need at Pick-up and Rental Conditions

Documents: A valid driving licence and an ID card or passport.

Age and licence: Differs by car class; it is written in the table's last column and on the car's booking card.

Included in the price: The "Included in the Price" section of the search cards lists free delivery, a clean car, a fair fuel policy, VAT and free roadside assistance.

Mileage: The total mileage limit linked to the rental period is stated on each car card.
