A holiday in Çeşme rarely stays on one beach: you may want to swim at Ilıca in the morning, watch the wind over the Alaçatı bay in the afternoon and stroll around Çeşme Castle in the evening, then head to the fish restaurants of Dalyan one day and to the ruins of Erythrai at Ildırı the next. Between the bays, public transport depends on timetables; with a rental car you decide how the day flows. Alaçatı Car Rental: Where Do You Collect the Car?

For Alaçatı car rental and for Çeşme, the pick-up point is Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB); details of the terminal meet-and-greet are on our Izmir Airport car rental and ADB pick-up point pages. This is the path from booking to arriving on the peninsula:

1. In the form at the top of the page, choose Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) as the pick-up location; the form has no separate point named Çeşme or Alaçatı. Enter the date and time for pick-up and return.
2. Put the cards of the listed cars side by side: driver age and years of licence, the total mileage limit, the deposit and the services included in the price are written separately on each card.
3. In online booking the payment step appears as "Pay Now". If you want to rent without a credit card or pay at the car, complete the booking through our customer service by WhatsApp or phone.
4. Send your flight number and estimated landing time to our customer service; the meet-and-greet at the terminal is planned around this information.
5. After collecting your luggage, our representative meets you at the terminal exit; you take over the car by showing your driving licence and your ID card or passport.
6. Check the bodywork, fuel level and mileage together with our representative, then set off towards the Izmir–Çeşme motorway; the same check is repeated at ADB on return.

Cars Bookable Online at ADB: Class, Capacity and Driver Requirement

The list below comes from the search for 13–20 October 2026 that we ran in our booking system on 30 September 2026 with pick-up and return at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport; a repeat search on the same day and a search for 1–8 November 2026 returned the same 19 cars. The cars are grouped by class, and within each class the lowest driver requirement comes first.

The minimum age and years of licence depend on the car: some cars can be rented at 21 with a licence held for 2 years; in the upper segment the requirement rises to 25–27 years of age and 5–7 years of licence. The requirement for the car you choose is shown on its car card on the booking screen.

Models are listed on the cards with the note "or similar", and availability changes with the date. For your own dates you will see the current cars, price and conditions in the form at the top of the page.

From ADB to the Çeşme Peninsula: Stops on the Way and on the Peninsula

After leaving the airport, the connecting roads around the city take you to the Izmir–Çeşme motorway; the motorway runs via Urla onto the peninsula and is a toll road (tariff of the General Directorate of Highways). The stops below are meant for orientation; driving time changes with the season and traffic, so check the current route in your map app.

1. Urla: The first large district on the motorway; known for its vineyard roads and stone houses, it is a good place for a break on the way to the peninsula or on the way back.
2. Alaçatı: The best-known village on the peninsula, with stone houses, boutique hotels and bazaar lanes; the bay to its south is famous for windsurfing. The lanes of the bazaar are narrow, so leaving the car in the parking areas nearby and walking makes things easier.
3. Ilıca: A calm shore for families, known for its long beach and thermal springs; restaurants line the area around the marina.
4. Çeşme town and Çeşme Castle: The castle, the marina and the harbour are the place for an evening walk. Ferries leave the harbour for the island of Chios (Greece); if you are thinking of taking the rental car on the ferry or out of the country, ask our customer service before booking, and check the sailing information with the ferry operator.
5. Boyalık and Pırlanta Beach: Two shores that families often choose for their sandy beaches; in the season, going early makes it easier to find a parking space.
6. Çiftlikköy and the southern bays: An area known for beach clubs and villa stays; in the summer months traffic builds up on the coast roads.
7. Dalyan (Çeşme): A small harbour that keeps the feel of a fishing village and is known for its seafood restaurants.
8. Ildırı and Erythrai: A quiet village on the northern shore of the peninsula with the remains of the ancient city of Erythrai; a popular choice for watching the sunset.

Windsurfing in Alaçatı and the Summer Season: Choosing Your Car

Çeşme's busiest period is the summer; in July and August traffic increases on the motorway, around the Alaçatı bazaar and at beach entrances. Because the car list and the price change with the date, searching in the form as soon as your dates are fixed reduces surprises.

Alaçatı is the best-known spot on the peninsula for windsurfing. If you are bringing windsurf or kitesurf equipment, a car with a large boot makes the trip easier; in the ADB search the SUV class listed Hyundai Bayon, Dacia Duster, Peugeot 3008, Hyundai Tucson and Peugeot 5008. Ask our customer service in advance about needs such as a roof rack.

If you are looking for a convertible, a VIP car or a car with a driver for a wedding or a special day, these cars are not in the online list; send your request to our customer service and it will be arranged on request.

For large families and groups of friends, the cars in the ADB search that stand out for luggage space:

• Ford Courier: 7 bags and 5 seats; the driver must be at least 21 with a licence held for 2 years
• Fiat Doblo: 6 bags and 5 seats; the driver must be at least 23 with a licence held for 3 years
• Dacia Duster: 6 bags and 5 seats; the driver must be at least 25 with a licence held for 3 years

Paying on Your Way to Çeşme: The No-Credit-Card Option

When you book on our website the payment option is shown on screen; in the ADB search of 30 September 2026 the option for all 19 cars was listed as "Pay Now".

If you have no credit card, or you want to pay when you collect the car, create your booking with our customer service by WhatsApp or phone; the payment and deposit details are settled in that conversation.

Ending the Holiday in Bodrum or Dalaman: Returning at Another Point

If you will continue south along the Aegean coast, you can collect the car at ADB and leave it at the Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) or Dalaman Airport (DLM) points in the booking form, or at another point in the form if you prefer.

Settle the fee for returning at another point by asking our customer service by WhatsApp or phone before you complete the booking.
