SAW Rent a Car - Car Rental Cancellation and Refund Terms

At SAW Rent a Car, we are committed to providing you with reliable and transparent service. Below, we present our cancellation and refund terms and conditions for your car rental reservations. Our aim is to protect both our valued customers and our suppliers, and to ensure your satisfaction.

1. General Cancellation and Refund Terms for Airport Car Rental Services

For our car rental services at Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Istanbul Airport, if you cancel your reservation made through our website within 1 hour, the full amount you paid will be refunded to your card on the same day without any deduction.

This policy applies to all our airport car rental bookings.

2. Cancellation and Modification Conditions Based on Vehicle Delivery Time

For Sabiha Gökçen Airport:

• You can cancel or change your reservation up to 24 hours before your vehicle pick-up time.

• Your entire payment will be refunded without any deductions.

• It may take 7-14 business days for the refund to appear on your card (depending on your bank).

For Istanbul Airport:

• You can cancel or change your reservation up to 48 hours before the vehicle pick-up time.

• Your entire payment will be refunded without any deductions.

• The return process is completed within 7-14 business days.

3. Last Minute (Late) Cancellation Terms

For cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure for Sabiha Gökçen Airport and less than 48 hours before departure for Istanbul Airport:

• The cost of one day's car rental will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded to your card within 7-14 business days.

On official holidays, festivals and special occasions:

• For cancellations made within the same timeframe, a deduction of 2 days' rental fee (without discount) will be applied to the remaining amount.

4. Reservation Changes

After making a reservation;

• Vehicle change,

• Adding additional packages,

• You can request a change of date.

Conditions:

• If the vehicle is eligible and the upgrade is to a vehicle of the same class, no extra fee will be charged.

• If a higher-end vehicle is requested, the price difference will be charged as an additional fee.

• Additional packages may incur a price difference.

• Availability is not guaranteed for change requests made less than 24 (SGH) / 48 (IST) hours before the vehicle pick-up time. In this case, you have the right to cancel and receive a refund.

5. Vehicle Not Receiving Condition

• If the vehicle is not picked up within 2 hours of the scheduled pick-up time, the reservation will be automatically cancelled and the vehicle may be allocated to other customers.

• In this case, the relevant cancellation and refund conditions apply.

6. Customer Satisfaction and Flexibility

At SAW Rent a Car, we adopt a solution-oriented and flexible approach to avoid inconveniencing our customers. However, our cancellation and refund conditions are as follows:

• Preventing unrealistic bookings,

• To prevent supplier grievances and

• It was created to secure vehicle supply processes.

7. Customer-Related Cancellations and Non-Compliance Situations

In the following cases, which are caused by the customer, the reservation will be cancelled and the refund process will be carried out according to the following conditions:

• The driver's license is invalid, insufficient, or does not meet the rental conditions.
• Missing or invalid passport or identity documents
• The customer does not meet the rental criteria (age, driving license year, financial ability, etc.).
• Vehicle delivery may be deemed unsuitable due to security, financial risk, or operational reasons.

In situations like these:

You must have valid identification, a driver's license, and all necessary documents with you. Failure to meet any of the rental conditions, or the submission of incomplete or invalid documents, may result in the cancellation of your reservation by the car rental company. For international rentals, the full amount is deducted; for domestic rentals, 25% is deducted. The refund will be calculated based on the specified deduction rate and issued to you.
